Well, we are ofF to a great start…we have a new game….find the name of blocks in yOur meeting notice. They might be scrambled or maybe not. Look for the capital letters, excluding the capital letters used as the first letters of a new sentence, proper nouns, or those included within quotes. If yoU find the block name, and report it to the hospitality gals when you arrive, you will get an extra $500.00 in quilteR’s bucks.

At this meeting, we will do a review of “Back to Basics”. We have a very Pretty “BOM” – “Hawaii” and you will receive your retreAt quilT fabriC requirements. We are off and running in 2011 and look forward to Having everyone be a part of this wonderful group and ministry.

This month the hidden block name was quite easy….just to get you started….don’t expect the same next month.

Thank you to Joanne Giardi and Cindy Alwin for stepping up and becoming our “Hospitality – Sunshine Ladies.” We still need someone to volunteer to coordinate the “GO Blocks”…..please!

“BLESSINGS DAY IS SATURDAY 1/15/11”

See you there.

RWYS Christmas Wish List

A couple of years ago, RWYS decided that most of us have lots of “stuff” and that the idea of exchanging gifts between ourselves had become rather passe´. Thus, we started a new tradition of giving gifts to RWYS. Below is a wish list of things that we can use, want or need. And, of course, it is fun to wrap them in Christmas paper because we will still like to open them…ooo and ahhh over them at the Christmas Party.

Pencil Sharpener

(Preferably, one that can be mounted and sharpen different sizes of pencils.)

Rotary Blades: 45 and 60’s

Rulers: 6 x 12 and 6 x 24 and 12-1/2” square

Masking tape, Packing Tape, and LARGE PACKING BOXES (i.e. Moving Boxes)

Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Napkins, etc.

Coffee, Creamer, Sugar, etc. (No TEA…we have lots)

Cleaning supplies (401 Cleaner, Windex)

Freezer Paper, Pressing Cloths, Applique Sheets (2 or 3)

Money (cash or check, please…see note below)

The Money is used for purchasing batting, replacing sewing notions, repair/cleaning of machines, office supplies, hospitality items, etc.

NOTE: please no gift cards, they are inconvenient for various members to use because they have to come and get them and we need to track them. Also, some of cards have a declining balance charge and other fees, etc. We can always reimburse members who purchase on behalf of RWYS, but using gift cards is truly more difficult.)

Finally, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO “GO OFF THE LIST” IF YOU HAVE NOTICED THAT WE ARE MISSING OTHER THINGS OR YOU JUST FIND SOMETHING WE MUST HAVE. THANK YOU.
